Islamabad, May 11 -- The Islamabad High Court has rejected Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Asif Ali Amin Gandapur's petition for the release of former PM Imran Khan from Adiala Jail.
Gandapur's petition, which sought the release of the former PM under parole, was dismissed for not fulfilling basic legal requirements.
The Registrar Office objected that the plea was not filed by the aggrieved individual himself and failed to name Khan as a party in it.
Additionally, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) - the prosecuting authority in the case in which Khan is serving the sentence - was not listed as a respondent, reports Dawn.
