New Delhi, Feb. 23 -- The Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) on Monday announced securing USD 100 million in franchise commitments from 10 partners across India, marking what it described as the largest private investment in Indian golf.
Each franchise has committed approximately USD 10 million over a 10-year period, reflecting long-term plans to establish and expand a professional golf league with representation across major metropolitan centres and emerging markets, as per a release.
The franchises have been awarded across Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Goa, Bengaluru, Punjab and Gurugram, ensuring nationwide presence in the league's inaugural edition.
