Srinagar, Dec. 24 -- Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, VK Birdi on Wednesday directed officers to complete all preparations in advance, strengthen night checkpoints, and maintain heightened vigilance at vulnerable locations to ensure peaceful celebrations of upcoming events across the Valley.
The IGP was chairing a security review meeting at the Police Control Room, Kashmir, to assess preparedness for the peaceful celebration of upcoming events. The meeting was attended by top police and CRPF officers.
A police spokesperson said the IGP was briefed by the officers on security arrangements and deployment plans.
