Srinagar, Dec. 23 -- Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, V.K. Birdi, on Tuesday reviewed the prevailing crime scenario in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir and assessed ongoing crime control measures, emphasizing intelligence-led and proactive policing, close supervision of crime-prone areas, and focused monitoring of habitual offenders.
A police statement said Birdi reviewed the prevailing crime scenario and assessed crime control measures being undertaken by district police in the year.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Inspector General North Kashmir range, SSP Baramulla, SSP Sopore, SSP Handwara, Additional SP Baramulla, SP Operations Baramulla, ASP HQ Baramulla and other officers of district Baramulla.
