Dehradun, Sept. 30 -- Dehradun-based Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA) will for the first time be headed by a woman officer in 38 years of its existence. This was informed in an official statement issued by IGNFA today.

A 1992 batch Indian Forest Service officer of the Sikkim cadre Bharti (goes by her first name) will be first woman director of the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA) as she will assume her office on October 1, 2025.
