Shimla, Dec. 31 -- The stand-off triggered by a doctor-patient physical altercation at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC), Shimla, was amicably resolved on Tuesday after both parties agreed to a compromise, bringing an end to a controversy that had disrupted health services across Himachal Pradesh.
The dispute stemmed from an incident on December 22, when Senior Resident Dr Raghav Narula was accused of physically assaulting a patient, Arjun Panwar, inside the pulmonary ward of IGMC.
