Shimla, Dec. 26 -- The controversy over the termination of a senior resident doctor at Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC ) has taken a national turn, with the RDA of All India Institute of Medical Science, New Delhi, strongly condemning what it termed a "brutal and shocking assault" on the doctor and demanding his immediate reinstatement.
In a formal statement issued on Friday, RDA-AIIMS expressed solidarity with Dr. Raghav Nirula, whose services were terminated following a preliminary inquiry into a scuffle with a patient.
The association alleged that a cropped and misleading video of the incident was circulated on social media, deliberately omitting the sequence that allegedly showed the doctor acting in self-defence.
