Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 10 -- The 30th edition of the Kerala International Film Festival (IFFK) will open on December 12, presenting a massive cinematic showcase of 206 films from 82 countries across 26 curated categories-one of the most expansive selections in the festival's history.
The festival will begin with AnneMarie Jacir's acclaimed film 'Palestine 36', set during the 1936 Palestinian uprising and already decorated with honours including the Best Picture award at the Tokyo International Film Festival.
Mauritanian master Abderrahmane Sissako will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award this year, with five of his iconic works-among them 'Timbuktu' and 'Black Tea'-featured in a special retrospective titled The Global Griot: Sissako'...
