New Delhi, Nov. 7 -- Breaking away from the conventional opening ceremonies in an enclosed space, the 56th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will begin with a carnival parade through the streets of Panaji featuring production houses and cultural groups on November 20.

The annual event will see the participation of more than 240 films from 81 countries, 13 world premieres, four international premieres, and 46 Asian premieres.
