Chatra, July 11 -- Security forces have recovered two IEDs and a cache of arms and daily-use materials from a Maoist bunker in Jharkhand's Chatra district during a joint anti-Naxal operation.
According to police sources, the joint operation was carried out on July 11 in the forested areas under Tonto block, following intelligence inputs regarding Maoist presence. The drive was launched jointly by personnel from the Chatra Police and CRPF's 209 Battalion.
Earlier, on July 7, intelligence had indicated that the banned CPI (Maoist) was regrouping in the Lakhan Khar village area under Tonto police limits to target security forces and disrupt peace.
