Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 22 -- The 17th edition of the International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK) will pay tribute to legendary filmmaker Ritwik Ghatak on his birth centenary by screening two of his landmark short films.

The festival will showcase There Flows Padma, The Mother River (1971) and Fear, both considered significant works in Ghatak's cinematic journey.

Widely regarded as one of the greats of Indian cinema, Ritwik Kumar Ghatak is often remembered alongside Satyajit Ray and Mrinal Sen as part of the iconic trio of Bengali masters.
