Jerusalem, Sept. 8 -- At least six people were killed and 21 wounded in a shooting attack at Jerusalem's Ramot Junction on Monday morning, prompting Israel to launch a large-scale military operation in the West Bank.

According to police, two gunmen drove to the junction and opened fire on civilians waiting at a bus stop. An armed civilian and a security officer returned fire, killing both attackers at the scene. Emergency services evacuated the wounded to nearby hospitals, where several remain in critical condition, reports Jerusalem Post.
