Tel Aviv, Sept. 9 -- The Israeli Defence Forces, preparing to launch deep strikes into Gaza City to fully capture the area, have issued an urgent evacuation warning to residents, asking them to immediately leave the area.
The IDF said it would be carrying out its operations with "great force" in its war against Hamas terrorists.
Previous warnings issued by the IDF in recent days had only included specific buildings and the area surrounding them.
"The IDF is determined to defeat Hamas and will operate in the Gaza City area with great force, just as it has throughout the Strip," Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF's Arabic-language spokesperson, said on X.
