Kolkata, Nov. 20 -- Iconic edifices like the Vidhan Sabha Bhavan (Assembly Building) and the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry building here have been illuminated in blue light on Thursday to commemorate World Children's Day and uphold the rights and aspirations of the children.
Alongside these buildings, the Kolkata Press Club and the UNICEF office here were also lit up in blue light to espouse the rights of children on World Children's Day (November 20).
Through the illumination and other activities involving children, the UNICEF wants to urge adults to revisit their childhood memories and make a renewed promise to support children's rights and aspirations.
