New Delhi, Dec. 19 -- The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Ship Amulya, the third vessel in the new-generation Adamya-class Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV), was commissioned in Goa on Friday.

The ship is commanded by Commandant (JG) Anupam Singh and has a complement of five officers and 34 personnel.

ICGS Amulya will be based at Paradip, Odisha, operating under the administrative and operational control of the Commander, Coast Guard Region (North East) through the Commander, Coast Guard District Headquarters No. 7. The vessel will undertake a range of missions, including surveillance, interdiction, Search and Rescue (SAR), anti-smuggling operations, and pollution response, reinforcing the Coast Guard's role in safeguarding India's eastern seaboard.
