Dubai, Feb. 5 -- The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday thanked the Malaysia Cricket Association for the successful hosting of the second edition of the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup.

The World Cup, which showcases and celebrates the future stars of the game, took place from 18 January 18 to February 2 in Malaysia, who were hosting an ICC event for the first time since 2008.

India were crowned champions after 41 games of exciting and competitive cricket with some memorable performances from the 16 participating teams on show. The host locations of Bangi, Johor, Sarawak and Selangor delivered a successful event.
