Kolkata, Feb. 7 -- The West Indies rode on a fifer by Romario Shepherd to register a convincing 35 run win over Scotland at the Eden Gardens on Saturday at the ICC T20 World Cup.
Scotland won the toss and put the Windies in. Shimron Hetmyer top scored for the Windies scoring 64 off 36 balls, while opener Brandon King's 35 and Sherfane Rutherford's 26 down the order helped them post a competitive total of 182 for 5 for the opponents.
For Scotland Bradley Currie was the most successful bowler picking tow wickets for 23 runs in his 4 overs. In reply, Scotland was never in the game as openers George Munsey(19), Michael Jones (1) and one down Brandon McMullen (14) all fell for low scores.
