Dubai, Aug. 6 -- Captains Shubman Gill of India and Ben Stokes of England have been nominated for the ICC Player of the Month awards, making the men's shortlist along with South Africa all-rounder Wiaan Mulder, while England players Sophia Dunkley and Sophie Ecclestone are joined in the women's shortlist by Ireland captain Gaby Lewis.
Gill's aggregate of 567 runs during this period, including an aggregate 430 in the second Test against England in Birmingham, puts him in contention while his counterpart Stokes and Mulder have some superb all-round efforts to boast of.
Dunkley's exploits with the bat and Ecclestone's with the ball against India at home have helped them make the shortlist while Lewis's form with the bat in both formats again...
