Dubai, April 14 -- The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the formation of a dedicated task force aimed at supporting displaced Afghan women cricketers.

The ICC will partner with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Cricket Australia (CA) to provide meaningful support to Afghan women as a part of the landmark initiative.

As part of the initiative, the ICC will set up a dedicated fund to provide direct monetary support, helping ensure the players have the resources they need to keep pursuing the game.
