Chennai, July 17 -- The Union Government has conferred the 'Rashtriya Krishi Vigyan Puraskar - 2025' (National Agricultural Science Award 2025) on scientists of ICAR-Sugarcane Breeding Institute (SBI) of Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu for developing a portable soil moisture indicator device.
A PIB release here today said the team of scientists from ICAR-SBI-Dr. K. Hari, Dr. D. Puthira Prathap, Dr. P. Murali, Dr. A. Rameshsundar, and Dr. B. Singaravelu-has been honored with the 'Rashtriya Krishi Vigyan Puraskar - 2025' under the category 'Innovation and Technology in Agriculture & Allied Sciences'.
This category recognizes agricultural scientists and researchers who have developed impact-making innovations and technologies.
