Lucknow, Aug. 25 -- IAS Anjaneya Kumar Singh, who demolished the stronghold of SP leader Azam Khan, has got an extension of one year.
He has got extension for the seventh consecutive time.
He is in UP since 2014.
According to sources here on Monday, IAS Anjaneya Singh's extension period in UP ended on August 14, and the government relieved him from the post of Moradabad Commissioner.
On the same day, IAS Anjaneya handed over the charge to Moradabad DM Anuj Singh.
Later he took 60 days leave and since then, he is on leave.
Meanwhile, the Yogi Adityanath government sent a recommendation to the Centre for his extension, which has been approved.
