Vienna, Sept. 8 -- IAEA chief Rafael Grossi, during a meeting with the UN nuclear watchdog's Board of Governors stated that Iran's suspension of cooperation with the agency under its new domestic laws is not binding on the agency, and thus cannot override its commitments to inspecting the Iranian nuclear program.
According to Iran International, Grossi, during his meeting with the board in Vienna on Monday said "While national law may create obligations domestically, it cannot do so for the IAEA," adding that as such, it's Non-Proliferation Treaty safeguards remain in full force.
