Chennai, Oct. 10 -- Indian Auto LPG Coalition (IAC), today said it has submitted an appeal to the Tamil Nadu government to reform to accelerate the adoption of cleaner fuels in urban mobility.

The IAC, which counts oil sector PSUs, private LPG marketers, kit suppliers and equipment manufacturers among its members, plays a crucial role in shaping fuel policy in India.

The IAC points out that Auto Liquified Petroleum Gas (ALPG) stands out as one of the cleanest automotive fuels, delivering significantly lower emissions of particulates, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons than conventional fuels.
