I-Day celebrations held at various Central govt institutions

Chennai, Aug. 15 -- The 79th Independence day celebrations were held at various central government institutions like Customs and Central Excise, Chennai Port, Income Tax, Passport and other premises today.

According to PIB, Mr A.R.S. Kumar, Principal Commissioner of Customs and GST hoisted the National Flag at Customs House.

Mr E.S. Nagendra Prasad, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry hoisted the flag at Income Tax Office in the city, while Mr Sunil Paliwal, Chairperson, Chennai Port Authority unfurled the National Tricolour at Tondaiarpet Housing Colony.
