Seoul, Dec. 12 -- South Korean auto giant Hyundai Motor Group has announced a partnership with Google to expand its automotive software ecosystem and provide drivers with next-generation navigation and infotainment experiences.

"Hyundai Motor Group (the Group) is expanding its partnership with Google to deliver next-generation navigation and infotainment experiences," the automaker said in a statement on Wednesday.

As part of the collaboration, Hyundai will integrate Google's Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS) into its vehicles and use Google's Places API for enhanced geolocation services, the statement said.
