Hygiia Ventures buys Gurgaon Team in TPL, Sania Mirza joins
Bengaluru, Aug. 5 -- In a major boost to Indian tennis, Canadian-backed Hygiia Ventures has acquired the Gurgaon Grand Slammers franchise in the Tennis Premier League (TPL), ahead of the league's much-awaited seventh season. Tennis icon Sania Mirza has been named the team's brand ambassador.
The TPL becomes only the fourth sports league in India to reach a seventh season, reflecting its sustained popularity and appeal. With its fast-paced format and a mix of international and Indian talent, the league has continued to attract top-tier investors.
