Hyderabad, Jan. 9 -- The Special Crime Team of the Central Crime Station (CCS), Hyderabad, busted a racket involved in the illegal sale of banned Chinese manja and arrested five persons, seizing 155 monofil gold Chinese manja bobbins from their possession.
Acting on credible information, the team apprehended the accused while they were allegedly attempting to sell the banned manja at inflated prices. Police said Chinese manja poses a serious threat to human lives and birds and is prohibited for use and sale.
The arrests and seizures were made by Inspector D. Bikshapathi of the Special Crime Team under the supervision of ACP G. Venkateswar Reddy.
