Hyderabad, Sept. 12 -- The city police today busted an illegal wildlife trade by apprehending a man in possession of Blackbuck (Antilope Cervicapra) horns.
On credible information, Commissioner's Task Force, East Zone team apprehended Mohd Khaleemuddin alias Saleem (54), a resident of Shaheen Nagar near Abbass Ground, Chandrayangutta, while attempting to sell the horns in the market, a police statement said.
The accused Khaleemuddin, originally from Sadasivapet in Sangareddy district, worked as a mason and also ran a small paan shop. Struggling to make ends meet, he allegedly came across blackbuck horns during demolition work in Sadasivapet.
