Hyderabad, Sept. 2 -- Hyderabad police busted an online betting racket and arrested eight persons involved in the illegal activity. Police seized 18 mobile phones, 13 ATM cards, three bank passbooks, and online transaction records amounting to Rs 29.8 lakh from their possession.
Based on credible information, the Commissioner's Task Force, South Zone team, along with SR Nagar police, apprehended the accused G. Vinay Kumar (23), N. Sai Vardhan Goud (22), D. Rahul (23), D. Jeshwanth Teja (22), Joda Venu Gopal (31), Kola Ram (23), Velpula Akash, and D. Pranay (22). Two key accused, Rajesh and Aslam, remain absconding, police said in a statement today.
