Hyderabad, Sept. 28 -- In a major breakthrough, Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police arrested two accused from Maharashtra in connection with a Rs 6.6 lakh "digital arrest" cyber fraud that tragically led to the death of a retired doctor from the city.
Two mobile phones were seized from the accused.
Based on a complaint, Police arrested Shankar Supur (38), a water purifier worker from Kolhapur district, and Vishwas Dattatraya Miraje (35), a businessman from Sangli district, a ppolice statement said on Saturday.
Supur operated as the account holder while Miraje acted as the account supplier. The duo is linked to two cases of "digital arrest" fraud-one in Telangana and another in Gujarat.
