Hyderabad, Sept. 29 -- In the wake of unearthing one of the largest film piracy rackets in recent times, the Hyderabad City Police held a high-level meeting with members of the Telugu film industry on Monday to discuss findings, explain the methods used by offenders, and outline preventive measures.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner C V Anand briefed heroes, producers, exhibitors, and digital distribution partners on two major piracy modes exposed during the probe-illegal in-theatre recording using mobile devices, and hacking of digital distribution systems to steal original content even before release.
