Hyderabad, Oct. 11 -- : Ensuring a world-class experience for tourists, the Telangana Government has introduced Tourist Police Units recently at major tourist destinations across Telangana to enhance visitor safety and provide better assistance to travelers.
As part of the programme, 80 police personnel underwent specialized training on "Orientation and Sensitization of Tourist Police" from October 6 to 9, 2025 at NITHM, Hyderabad, said Valluru Kranthi, Director, Department of Tourism in a release here on Saturday.
The training also included field visits on October 10 and 11 to key tourist sites such as Yadagirigutta, Bhongir fort, Golconda Fort, Qutub Shahi Tombs and Lumbini Park.
