Hyderabad, Jan. 14 -- The Military College of Electronics & Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), Secunderabad, has been adjudged as one of the 'Best Training Establishments of the Indian Army' and was awarded the 'Chief of Army Staff's (COAS) Unit Appreciation' on the eve of Army Day 2026.

The prestigious honour was conferred by the Chief of Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi, , during an investiture ceremony held at the Sapta Shakti Auditorium, Jaipur, in the presence of veterans and senior military officers, a defence release said here on Wednesday.

The award was received by the Commandant, MCEME, Lt Gen Neeraj Varshney, along with the Subedar Major.

This marks a historic first in MCEME's eight-decade-long legacy since its raising in 1946....
