Hyderabad, Dec. 29 -- KIMS Cuddles Hospital, Secunderabad, on Monday launched a Pediatric Colostomy Support Group to help families of children undergoing colostomy procedures.
The initiative was announced on National Pediatric Surgery Day and is aimed at dispelling myths, reducing social stigma, and providing practical guidance to parents.
Led by Dr. M. Yoga Nagendhar, Chief Consultant Pediatric Surgeon, the support group will offer education on colostomy care, stoma hygiene, diet, and early identification of complications.
It will also connect families facing similar challenges to provide emotional and peer support. The hospital stated that this is India's first pediatric colostomy support group.
