Hyderabad, July 17 -- GITAM Deemed to be University will confer an honorary doctorate on R. Venkateswara Rao, Founder and Chairman of RVR Projects Pvt. Ltd., in recognition of his outstanding contributions to India's infrastructure development.
The honour will be bestowed during the university's 16th Convocation, scheduled to be held here on Saturday.
This recognition adds to the university's announcement of honorary doctorates being conferred on two other distinguished individuals-Dr. B. Venkatraman, Former Director of the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam, and Arunachalam Muruganantham, globally renowned social entrepreneur and innovator popularly known as 'Padman,' the University said in a release today.
