Hyderabad, April 1 -- The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has placed 10 officials under suspension following a vigilance enquiry into alleged financial irregularities and procedural violations in Badangpet Circle-16 of Shamshabad Zone.
The enquiry revealed large-scale irregularities, including suspected misappropriation of public funds in execution of engineering, sanitation and event-related works in the erstwhile Badangpet Municipal Corporation, the Corporation said in a release here on Wednesday.
Acting on the findings, the civic body ordered immediate suspension of the officials, stating that the action was taken in the interest of administration after examining available material and circumstances.
