Hyderabad, Nov. 8 -- In compliance with Supreme Court directives yesterday about removal of stray dogs from public premises such as educational institutions, hospitals, sports complexes and transport hubs, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) initiated action across the city on Saturday.
As part of the drive, the GHMC has begun removing street dogs from government hospitals, ensuring strict adherence to the court's directive that such dogs shall not be released back into these premises after sterilisation.
