Hyderabad, Feb. 28 -- Three people, including a 7-year-old girl child, died in a fire that broke out in residential building at Puppalaguda, outskirts of the city on Friday evening.
All three died, which might be due to suffocation, and a short circuit is suspected to have led to the fire that broke out on the ground floor of a two-story building at around 6 pm, police said here.
On information, the Langer House firefighters immediately rushed to the fire spot and shifted two women and a girl, who were trapped in a room on the first floor in an unconscious state, to the hospital.
All three, identified as Jameela (70), Suhana (40), and Sijira (7), died in the hospital, police added.
