Hyderabad, April 8 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana on Wednesday demanded an unconditional apology from AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, over his alleged remarks against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Reacting to the remarks, BJP State Chief Spokesperson and Media In-Charge N. V. Subash termed Kharge's reported call for a renewed ban on the RSS as "historically ignorant, politically motivated and dangerously provocative."He alleged that the Congress leader's remarks are based on distorted facts and sought to malign an organisation that, according to him, has contributed to nation-building for decades.
