Hyderabad, Dec. 19 -- President Droupdi Murmu on Friday emphasized the need to develop a globally competent civil service.

Addressing the two -day 26th National Conference of Chairpersons of the UPSC and State Public Service Commissions (PSC's) organized by the Telangna State Public Service commission (TGPSC) held at Ramoji film City here, Murmu expressed confidence that the conference deliberations would lead to useful, future-oriented solutions aligned with the evolving role of Public Service Commissions.

The President observed that Public Service Commissions must anticipate emerging challenges, particularly in the field of technology, while further strengthening transparency and credibility in recruitment processes.
