Hyderabad, Feb. 11 -- The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday caught a Sub-Inspector of Police from Madhapur Police Station red-handed while allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of RS 50,000 for extending official favours.

According to the ACB statement on Wednesday, the accused officer, identified as Gandra Vinay, Sub-Inspector of Police, Madhapur Police Station was trapped by the Rangareddy Range unit on Tuesday.

He allegedly demanded and accepted the bribe amount from the complainant in exchange for providing copies of a notice issued in Crime No. 2202/2025 of Madhapur Police Station and for assuring that the complainant would not be arrested in the case in future.
