Hyderabad, Feb. 25 -- C Madhu, a bill Collector, Rajendra Nagar Circle, GHMC, in the city was caught by ACB Rangareddy unit near here on Monday when he demanded Rs one lakh as bribe and accepted Rs 45,000 through V.Ramesh (A-2) from the complainant fro showing official favour " to not to hike property tax of complainant's factory".
The accused officer hereby performed his public duty improperly and dishonestly, ACB said in a release here.
The bribe amount was recovered from Ramesh at his instance.
The bill collector and Ramesh are being arrested and produced before the 1st Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, court at Nampally, Hyderabad.
The case is under investigation.
