Hyderabad, July 23 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Cyberabad, has arrested one accused in a high-profile cheating case involving Rs 6 crore investment fraud under the guise of high returns here today.
The accused involved the collection of public deposits under false promises of high returns.
A case was registered following a complaint received from Talakokula Akhil, a 25-year-old private employee from Chandanagar, Hyderabad.
Based on credible intelligence, a police team apprehended Nikhil Kumar Goel from his residence at Mothinagar, in the city, said A. Muthyam Reddy, Deputy Commissioner of Police, (Crimes) EOW, Cyberabad, in a release here.
