Hyderabad, Jan. 9 -- The Central government has granted administrative approval for establishing a 50-bed AYUSH hospital in Karimnagar, marking a major boost to traditional healthcare services in North Telangana.

The project, estimated at Rs 15 crore, has received an initial release of Rs 7.5 crore.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar played a key role in securing the approval after submitting proposals and pursuing the matter with the Centre and union AYUSH Minister Prataprao Jadhav.

The hospital will offer Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy services, along with maternity and women's healthcare.
