Lucknow, Dec. 29 -- The nature of terrorism is undergoing a rapid transformation, with criminals involved in drug trafficking and illegal arms smuggling increasingly linking up with terror activities. This emerging pattern is being described as a "hybrid model of terrorism," which combines terrorism, organised crime, and narco networks, according to key inputs received by intelligence agencies.
These issues were discussed during a police brainstorming programme held in Lucknow, where special presentations were made on anti-terror operations, narcotics, and organised crime.
