Jharkhand, Dec. 15 -- AJSU Party chief and former Deputy Chief Minister Sudesh Mahto on Sunday said that policies driven by short-term electoral gains were hindering Jharkhand's long-term progress.

Addressing a party induction programme at Hazaribag Town Hall, he stressed the need for a clear vision and long-term roadmap for the state.

Hundreds of youths joined the AJSU Party under the leadership of Shashibhushan Kesari at the event. Leaders including Mandu MLA Nirmal Mahato, former MLA Dr. Lambodar Mahato, chief spokesperson Dr. Devsharan Bhagat, central vice-president Praveen Prabhakar and general secretary Sanjay Mehta also addressed the gathering.
