Hyderabad, March 14 -- In a significant political move, hundreds of workers and colony federation members from Maheshwaram Assembly Constituency joined the BJP here on Saturday.
The event took place at the BJP State Office under the leadership of O. Narsimha Reddy, with State President N. Ramchander Rao formally welcoming the new members by draping them with party scarves.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Rao said the influx reflects growing public support for the BJP, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and the party's stand against what he called the "anti-people policies" of the Congress government in Telangana.
