Pune, Feb. 7 -- Expressing serious concern about today's turbulent times where supremacy is considered as a respected thing, Raajmohan Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, on Friday emphasised that it is wrong to presume that race and religion are supreme, but humanity is.

While addressing the International African students at Symbiosis International University (SIU) here, he said, "Today's world is in a turbulent state. Supremacy is considered as a respected thing and not equality, loyalty and democracy, this is a disturbing trend worldwide."

Values such as equality, humanity, loyalty and democracy should be honoured and not disgraced, he said.
