Patna, March 10 -- Congress national media panelist and former Bihar Legislative Council member Premchand Mishra on Tuesday expressed concern over rising incidents of missing children in the state and alleged that human trafficking gangs are active in Bihar.
Mishra said here that the continuous disappearance of children in recent years has become a serious issue and reflects the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
He said that out of 14,699 cases of missing children reported last year, 6,927 children could not be traced, adding that Bihar ranks second after Odisha in cases of missing girls. According to him, the government has been ignoring the matter despite its seriousness.
