Puducherry, March 21 -- The Puducherry based Human Rights and Consumer Protection Society (HRCPS) on Thursday urged political party candidates contesting the Lok Sabha elections to give a promise to the people that they would resign if the promises given to the people could not be fulfilled within an year. HRCPS general secretary Muruganandam in a statement said the important problems Puducherry is facing are statehood, waiver of its loans and its inclusion in the central finance commission.
